The contest is closed. Winners will be announced next Summer. Next year's contest will open in Fall 2009.
DEC. 1st UPDATE: The application deadline for the 2009 Knight News Challenge was November 1, 2008. The full proposal deadline has been extended until Dec. 5, 2008 at 9 a.m. (EST). Only applicants who received an e-mail inviting them to submit a full proposal can submit.
If you received an e-mail confirming we received your application, then you do not need to contact us to confirm that we are in receipt of your application.
If you are invited to submit a full proposal, please use the link you received to complete the online proposal form before the deadline of December 1, 2008. (This has been extended to Dec. 5th)
If you have submitted an application and you DID NOT RECEIVE an e-mail confirming our receipt of your application, please do the following:
1. Please check your Spam folder.
2. Log in and make sure you clicked "Submit" and not just "Save."
3. Contact Knight Foundation at: newschallenge@knightfoundation.org and send us the e-mail address you used to register and apply, your user name and a copy of your application.
